2 yearsI remember when getting a call was actually exciting. Nowadays, it's mostly just dodgy numbers from people who don't seem to care about right and wrong. Such a shame phone calls have turned out this way.2 yearsOn Thursday 15th August 2024 at 11.06am, I got a call from 0204 600 3778 on my landline. It was the same scam call again. A robotic female voice, claiming to be Jo, a local energy adviser, started off the chat. I wasn’t interested at all, so I blasted the YouTube track ‘Pump It Up’ right down the phone. Almost immediately, the caller dropped the call without bothering to continue! I’ve had this exact call a few times before, but always from different area codes.JoYouTube2 yearsAfter quite a lengthy silence, the person on the other end finally chimed in... It turned out to be someone named "Joe" from a utility firm, inquiring whether I owned the property. They mentioned they could help reduce my electricity costs.Joe2 yearsI got a call from this number earlier, but it just dropped before I could answer. Seems like they didn’t want to say who they were, probably trying to sneak past my call screening. If it had been a proper caller, they’d have identified themselves by now. Lately, loads of these suspicious 020 4600 **** calls keep coming through. The annoying thing is, if I block one of these numbers, they just ring back from a different one. I’m signed up with TPS as well, so it’s pretty frustrating.TPS2 yearsI answered the call but no one spoke, just silence. I've gone ahead and blocked that number now.2 yearsThey called me but I missed it, so I called back using the 141 code. A recorded voice came on saying "press 1 for sales, 2 for billing, 3 to track order." I hit 1 and the line just went dead! Tried again and pressed 2, but it just looped the same message asking me to press 1, 2, or 3. Then I tried 3, same message kept repeating. On another call, I pressed 1 again, but got cut off immediately! Seems dodgy to me, maybe a scam or some number verification thing. Don't bother calling them unless you use the 141 code first.BAM2 yearsNo answer, guessed it was one of those dodgy scam calls.2 yearsHad a call from someone called 'Joe' claiming to be from the utility company, asking if I was the owner. I just told him I wasn't, felt like it was definitely a scam.Joe2 yearsGot a call from a woman named Jo who sounded like she was quite old and probably a smoker. She kept rambling about something to do with power. When I asked her which company she was with, she just dropped the call.JoSubmit Your Own Report (020 4600 3778)
