Got a call from someone saying they were with the Housing and Welfare Department, "checking" on repairs for my house. I asked why the council would be bothered about a property I own privately. They then switched up and said they worked for a private firm dealing with repairs for private homes. I had a proper back and forth with him, just to wind him up and waste his time. Totally obvious con artists, proper dodgy lot! I could hear people chuckling in the background and the bloke speaking was really unprofessional. It felt off straight away. These scam calls usually come from all sorts of different numbers. They tried to get me to make a claim and said they could help with it but I just ended the call. Be careful out there, folks.
