Some bloke rang me up claiming my SIM card was about to get blocked soon and mentioned a link I had to click. I could tell it was dodgy straight away, but I just kept him on the line for a bit because he was quite entertaining to take the mickey out of. He told me he worked for O2, which is daft since I don’t even have an O2 contract!

Got a call from someone pretending to be O2, saying my SIM card was about to stop working soon since it supposedly wasn’t 5G compatible, which obviously isn't true since mine is. I could tell straight away it was a dodgy call, but I decided to mess with them a bit to waste their time and maybe make them lose out. Ended up keeping them on the line for nearly half an hour before I finally said I wasn’t even signed up with O2. Such a pointless scam!

I didn't pick up the first two calls, so I decided to ring back. The bloke on the other end was really hard to understand, so I ended the call - I couldn't make out why he was ringing. He rang me once more, saying he just wanted to have a chat with me (whoever I might be) and then asked if I was married. I hung up again, and moments later, I got another call from a number I didn’t recognise, which I ignored. I'm not sure if it was the start of some scam or just a way to rack up phone charges.

Just got a call claiming my O2 SIM would be cut off for not having 5G. They even sent a fake automated text saying it was a “free call from O2”. Watch out for this scam! Don’t give them any details, don’t click on any links, and make sure to block the number - they’ll probably ring again.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from O2, saying my current SIM would be switched off soon because I’m supposed to be using a 5G one now. They said they’d transfer me somewhere after that, but I just ended the call. Then, not long after, the same number rang me again. Another spam call to add to the block list, I guess...

The caller claimed to be from o2, but I'm not a customer there. When I told them to stop calling or I'd report them to the police, they responded quite nastily!

Had a call from someone claiming to be from O2, saying my SIM would stop working in three days. Thing is, I’m not even with O2! Felt like a right scam.
