2 yearsGot a call earlier but no ID shown, and the number was blocked too.2 yearsI received a phone call from a lady named "Jo," who inquired whether I had recently had loft insulation installed (which, to be fair, I had). She went on to warn me that it could potentially pose a danger. When I probed further about which company or governmental organisation she represented, her response was simply to reiterate her name and reiterate her concern regarding the loft insulation-just in case I hadn’t realised it was situated above my head. I persisted with my question about who she was representing, and after a rather prolonged pause where she claimed to be “checking,” she finally mentioned that a manager would ring me back within half an hour. At that point, I firmly told her that since she couldn't provide that basic information, it clearly smelled of a scam. Honestly, these types of calls really annoy me, as if navigating life isn’t challenging enough already.Jo2 yearsGot a call from a guy with an Indian accent saying he was from EE, trying to sell me a 10% discount on my mobile plan. I kept him on the line for a bit but lost interest when he wanted me to confirm personal info like my name and account details. Definitely seemed like a scam to me. Ended up reporting him to the TPS and blocked the number straight away.EETelephone Preference Service2 yearsGreetings everyone, I thought it might be worthwhile to share my own encounter with the number 02035236407. For the last fortnight, I’ve had this number ringing me up to five times each day, yet every time I pick up, it’s just silence on the other end before they hang up. It’s quite frustrating! I’m definitely planning to block this number, and hopefully, my experience can assist others in their decision-making. Cheers, Jas2 yearsThese fraudsters are ridiculously tenacious! The guy said he was "David" from Direct Line trying to sell some deal. I told him a few times I couldn’t hear him properly and asked if he could ring again on a different number. Instead of calling back, he just ended the call. Blocked the number straight away.DavidDirect Line2 yearsGot hit with back-to-back spam calls, the second one was some bloke acting like he was from Three.
