Received a call at 09:14, but there was nothing but silence when I picked up, and then it just disconnected. I've registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS), so this is rather frustrating.

I received a call on my Virgin Media home phone from someone with a rather 'foreign' accent. He claimed to represent a company, though I couldn't quite make out the name he mentioned. He inquired whether British Gas was my energy supplier and then abruptly wished me a good day. Quite strange, if you ask me... I have a gut feeling this might be one of those pesky scam calls.

Despite my attempts to reach out, nobody picks up the line, but I can distinctly hear the chaotic buzz of a bustling call centre in the background. Clearly, this is a dodgy number.

Claims to be from an energy provider investigating my British Gas account. Complete time wasters, honestly!

I picked up when the phone rang, but after a brief pause, the line went silent and the call was cut off with no one speaking. Quite odd, really.
