I could make out quite a clatter in the backdrop, reminiscent of a call centre bustling with activity. As it happens, it was a dodgy scammer on the other end. He was peddling supposed home repair services aimed at tenants of housing associations. Quite the cheeky ploy, if you ask me!

No matter how many I block, they just come back with a new number. I’ve had enough of their constant calls, even after I opted out they still keep ringing. Honestly, they ought to be stopped from using phones altogether!!!

I picked up the phone and all I got was a robotic voice saying "Goodbye" before the call just dropped.

Today I got called twice by these people. They began by checking how I was doing before even bothering to ask for my name. They claimed to be from the housing repair department, but I’m pretty sure it’s a scam since I actually own my house. When I told them that, they asked if any friends or family needed repairs, and when I said no, they just ended the call. There was loads of noise in the background, like it was a busy call centre or something.
