Just got a call from someone saying they were EDF. They said an engineer was supposed to come but apparently didn’t, which is completely wrong because he definitely showed up. Honestly, it all sounds a bit dodgy to me! Feels like a scam if you ask me.

I received a call from a lady with an Asian accent claiming to be from EDF, insisting they needed to swap out my electricity meter. Definitely sounds dodgy to me! Stay vigilant, folks!

I recently received an obviously dodgy letter from a so-called company purporting to act on behalf of EDF. Let me be clear-THEY ARE NOT affiliated with EDF. Their intention is to gain access to your property under the guise of 'inspecting the meter’. The correspondence included neither an EDF contact number nor an official email address. I've reported this letter to Action Fraud, supplying them with a comprehensive account of the situation. THESE INDIVIDUALS COULD BE QUITE DANGEROUS AND POTENTIALLY VIOLENT. They've even had the audacity to call, leaving a voicemail insisting they require access for a meter check. Please, whatever you do, do not engage with them via phone or email! And absolutely do not let them into your home. If you lack a peephole, it’s best to shout through your letterbox for them to leave and warn them that the authorities will be informed.

I've just received, without a doubt, a dubious letter from an outfit purporting to be associated with EDF.

THEY MOST CERTAINLY ARE NOT.

They’re attempting to gain access to your home under the pretext of inspecting the meter. The correspondence was from a number and an email that had nothing to do with EDF whatsoever.

I've reported this letter to Action Fraud, providing a comprehensive account of the situation. THESE INDIVIDUALS ARE HIGHLY UNSAFE AND COULD POTENTIALLY BE HOSTILE.

Now they're ringing me and even left a voicemail insisting they need to check my meter.

Please, do not engage with them over the phone or via email! Close your door firmly to them. If you lack a peephole, call out through your letterbox for them to leave and inform them that the Police will be notified.

Somebody rang me saying they were from EDF, but honestly, I’m not buying it. I never trust someone who calls me up outta nowhere like that.

The individual on the line claimed to be representing EDF. They mentioned something about needing to inspect the gas meter.

I believe I've encountered a potential scam here; EDF didn't grant any permissions for this!
