Some bloke rang me claiming he was an investigator looking into dodgy trading markets, asking to confirm my info. He kept going on about how he wasn’t selling anything and swore he wasn’t cold calling, even though that’s exactly what he was doing!

He first told me he'd found my personal number on Linkedin, which I knew wasn’t true, then changed his story to say it came from a google search - definitely not right. After I challenged him a bit, he just got all awkward and started mumbling. Honestly, these firms just scrape business directories and happened to get my number by chance.

Got a proper cheeky caller from Liverpool. They wanted to have a word with the boss, like the owner of any business would just take a random call from someone they don’t know! I offered to help instead, but as soon as I mentioned the owner wasn’t available, they just ended the call. Bit rude if you ask me.
