I got a call from 02045795896 but my phone’s scam blocker jumped in and stopped it before I even picked up. Had a quick look here and turns out it’s one of those scammer numbers. Shall just keep it blocked now.

I've had this particular number ring me thrice in a single day, insisting that I've triumphed in some sort of contest. But to be honest, it sounds like they're merely reciting a script aimed at wrangling some cash out of unsuspecting folk. I made sure to hang up on them and have since blocked their calls. They always seem to have an Indian accent, suggesting they're likely operating from a call centre situated outside the UK.

Just got a call from a dodgy number claiming I’d won some free lottery tickets - total scam, don’t fall for it!

Someone rang me up with an Indian accent, sounded quite firm and wasn’t happy at all when I asked where she was calling from. It felt a bit unsettling since she seemed to already have loads of my details. She kept going on about me winning Tesco vouchers and the EuroMillions, saying I should watch the BBC at eight o’clock that evening for the announcement. Definitely raised a few red flags for me.

I had a call from this number claiming I had won a spot in a competition, suggesting I'd been selected for complimentary entry into the Euro Millions lottery. They mentioned being part of a syndicate of just 150 lucky individuals. The caller requested my email, which I hesitantly provided. However, as the conversation progressed, they started probing for my date of birth and then insisted on obtaining my full name and address, which definitely raised my suspicions. I ultimately chose to back out of the conversation, sensing that they were fishing for far too many personal details.

Some bloke rang me claiming I’d won 10 tickets to enter the EuroMillions and said I could pick 5 lucky numbers plus 2 bonus ones. Then he wanted my bank details, like sort code and account number. I didn’t hang about and ended the call straightaway - sounded fishy and like a total con.

+44 20 4579 5896 Dodgy call! Some bloke rang saying I’d won tickets for this Friday’s EuroMillions, claimed I’d entered some competition online. He mentioned info that was totally off - I told him I haven’t lived at that place for three decades! Still, he kept insisting I took part, said I must have either visited the website or clicked a pop-up. I told him my phone doesn’t show pop-ups at all, and then he just hung up on me!

+44 20 4579 5896 Can't stop chuckling at the comment from 28/04/2023. What’s the point of ringing if you just stay silent then drop the call? Proper muppets. But seriously, these scammers are total scumbags. They should all be stopped - absolute disgusting thieves, the worst kind of people.

I was informed that I'd struck it lucky with ten lottery tickets, which I thought was plausible since I'd been submitting entries to a few competitions. The bloke on the phone took my sort code and account number, assuring me an email would follow with all the details. After some digging, it appears the number is rather dodgy! Still no sign of an email, and I'm completely in the dark regarding the £39 charge scheduled to kick off in May. I really need to find a way to halt this before it escalates!
