02045795012 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02045795012 👆 is reported as a persistent scam operation involving calls from alleged call centres, often featuring Indian-accented voices. Callers falsely claim lottery wins, bank compensations, or unauthorised Amazon transactions to extract personal and banking details. They employ pressure tactics such as asking victims to install remote access apps, allowing direct access to phones for theft of sensitive information. These calls may be automated or involve silence before hanging up, frequently changing numbers to evade blocking. Victims are urged not to answer or return calls, to report suspicious activity via established channels like the 7726 text service and Action Fraud, and to raise awareness to help curtail these fraudulent practices. Blocking alone is ineffective, making vigilance and prompt reporting essential.

Another one of those annoying spam calls, ugh!

Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent claiming I won some prize from a contest I’d never even heard of. Totally sounded like one of those scams.

I got a call from someone saying I’d just signed up for some sort of competition with Craze, then they started asking for my full name, where I live, my birthday and phone number. After that, they wanted me to pick five numbers so I’d join some lottery group. Then, of course, they asked for my bank details too. I just told the bloke to jog on nicely.

Loads of calls from people claiming to be from some company, mostly from overseas, trying to trick you into giving bank info. Don’t trust a word these scammers say, they’re just after your money. No legit company would call like this. Most of these numbers are fake and I bet they’re using a computer to make the calls, especially if the number begins with +44 but doesn’t seem to be a normal landline. Best thing is just block and ignore. If you want to help stop it, report it at phishing.gov.uk or text the word ‘dall’ to 7726. Stay safe lads!

Those calls from overseas numbers are back again. Best thing to do is not pick up, and if you get a call, text 7726 to report it. They’ll sort it out and get the number blocked.

Got a call from some random number claiming my account was charged £900, telling me to "press one for help". I looked at my bank statement and there was nothing wrong at all. Total scam. I've now blocked the number and reported it. Watch out for these dodgy calls!

I got a call from this number today around 11:33, claiming there was a 900 pound charge on my Amazon Visa. They wanted me to complete a form on my laptop or phone, but I said no to both. Instead, I asked them to post me the info so I could sort it out with my credit card company and pass it on to the police. Right after that, the call just cut off. Calls like this are really unsettling and cause a lot of stress. I’m now thinking about stopping all my online transactions altogether.

I keep getting these robo calls that expect you to answer at specific times. They ring a few times every day and then switch up the last two digits on their number the next day and do it all over again. It’s like these scammers just won’t quit, and blocking them doesn’t help at all. Honestly, maybe reporting them to Action Fraud could make a difference, because they’re starting to be such a pain.

Got two calls from a number I didnt recognise today. These random calls are usually scams, so I just dont answer and definitely dont ring back. If it was important, they’d leave a voicemail. Also, if you get dodgy texts, you can report them by sending them to 7726.

I didn’t keep the call going to hear what they wanted, but there was an Indian lady at the other end and she kicked off with ‘how are you doing sir’ instead of asking if she was speaking to *my real name*. That made me suspicious it was likely one of those call centre scams.

This was an absolute con job, claiming they’d recovered £2550 plus £1550 interest from my “bank ppi” compensation. When they asked which bank I used, I made up “Bank of Paris” (not a real bank), and they had no clue! They still gave me some kind of ref and ID numbers, saying they never ask for bank or card details and the money was in a “wallet.” Then they put me through to another guy with an Asian accent who asked for the ref and ID numbers again. I fed him fake ones, which really threw him off. Next, he asked for my phone number to check, gave me new ref and ID numbers, different to before, and then called me “not good with tech.” He said he’d help me access this wallet, asked me to put my phone on speaker (suspicious!), then told me to download an app called “Anydesk” from the app store. That app would've given him remote control of my phone to swipe bank info, passwords, the lot. These criminals need to be stopped - make sure to report this sort of phishing to the police and the Financial Conduct Authority.

Complete con job, pretending to be about bank PPI claims, telling me they’d recovered £2550 compensation plus £1550 in interest from my bank. I told them my bank was "Bank of Paris" - totally made up - and they had no clue it didn’t exist. Then they gave me some reference and ID numbers, assuring me they never ask for bank or card info, and said the money was in a “wallet.” Next, they put me through to another guy with an Asian accent, who asked for those IDs again. I fed him fake ones and he got all mixed up, then asked for my phone number supposedly to verify them. After that, he gave me a new set of IDs, different from the first. Then, he claimed I’m not tech-savvy and offered to help me get into this wallet. Suddenly, he told me to put my phone on speaker (which felt fishy) and download an app called AnyDesk from the Play Store, so he could control my phone remotely and steal personal data like bank info, passwords, etc. Absolute scumbags, they need to be nailed. Make sure you report these scams to the police, Financial Conduct Authority, Action Fraud, or text/call 7726.

Got these robocalls that keep ringing all day, playing some script that needs you to answer at certain times. Complete scam, claiming they’ve sorted a PPI payout from my “bank” for around £2,550 plus another £1,550 in interest. When I told them my bank was the “London Trust Bank” (which isn’t actually real), they didn’t catch on. They then popped a reference number and an ID number my way, assuring me they never ask for card or bank info. Apparently, the money was sitting in some kind of digital wallet? Soon after, they transferred me to another chap with an Asian accent who asked for the ref and ID numbers again. I just fed him made-up ones, and the call went from there.

Had a call from some people claiming to be from a company, but honestly, they were just after my bank info. Don't trust a word these sneaky lot say - the company they mention doesn't even exist. I reckon if more people just ignored these calls, they wouldn't stand a chance of nicking anyone's cash. They always try to cover up where they're really calling from. If you see a number starting with +44, it’s not a normal call, it's usually some automated scam. Make sure you report these dodgy calls at phishing.gov.uk or text DALL to 7726. Stay safe out there!

I didn’t keep the call going long enough to figure out the reason for it, but it was an Indian lady who answered and kicked off with “how are you today sir?” instead of checking if they’d got the right person by asking for my name first. That made me suspect it was likely just a call centre scam.
