I didn’t pick up cause I didn’t know the number, and there was no voicemail either.

I've been inundated with calls this morning, it’s absolutely infuriating. What a bunch of nuisances!

I ignored the call since they didn’t leave any voicemail. From what others have said, it sounds like it was probably a scam.

They tried to convince me that my phone required a new SIM card, but then started asking for my personal information. Quite suspicious, if you ask me.

I received a couple of calls from this number, with the callers insisting they represented O2, claiming I'd 'won' a delightful 40% off my bills. The initial call was a bit of a laugh, so I kept the chap chatting for ages, just for kicks. However, by the time the second call came around, my patience had worn thin, and I quite bluntly told them to jog on. They've since been blocked!

I received a call claiming I was chosen to receive a reduction on my O2 bill. While I had them chatting away, I took the opportunity to look up their number and stumbled upon this site. Definitely dodgy characters!

Merely another con artist, that deceitful scoundrel!

I had an interesting encounter with a chap named William from Mumbai. He was insisting that I was eligible for a discount through my O2 account. However, when I mentioned that I wasn’t actually an O2 customer, he then inquired if I happened to be with Virgin instead. After I clarified that I wasn't, he casually mentioned that they also collaborate with Sky. I figured I’d give him one last shot to get it right, but he decided to hang up instead. Quite the turn of events!

I didn't answer the call, but I did provide my personal number to the customer service team at O2.

I recently had an encounter where a supposed O2 representative informed me that my SIM was going to be locked, but I’d be entitled to a 30% discount upon the arrival of a new SIM. When I expressed my scepticism and pointed out that their practices didn’t align with genuine O2 procedures, they became quite confrontational. It was evident that something wasn’t right, and it felt more like a scam than proper customer service!

We keep getting bombarded with scam calls because hardly anyone takes the time to report them. It’s like giving scammers a free pass! If you want to know how to report these, the police Action Fraud website has all the info. Someone actually shared the steps about 14 comments down from here.

This number, or ones close to it, has been ringin me pretty much every couple of hours today - at least eight different calls. Most times it’s just a short ring and then stops. When I finally picked up, they just put the phone down straight away.

Just got a call right after chatting with someone named ‘Alex’ who said he was from O2. The number he called from was 01877550040. I tried calling it back and, oddly enough, it said the number is no longer in use. Looking at the comments here, it seems these two numbers are connected. Both seem to be landlines run by Voxbone SA. This one’s based in London, while the 01877 number is actually somewhere in Callander, Scotland. I reckon Alex wasn’t actually in either spot.

Got a call yesterday afternoon from a number I didn’t recognise, so I decided not to answer it, thinking it could be a scam. After looking it up here, it turned out I was right! If you see a call from 020-4579-4865, just ignore it. Then, just moments after I blocked that one, another call popped up from a number in Luxembourg. Clearly the same scammer trying their luck again. Didn’t fall for it a second time and declined that call too. Stay safe!

Got a call the other day from someone saying they were from O2, saying I could get a discount on my bill due to loads of complaints about poor signal. Thing is, I don’t even have an O2 contract! No way a mobile company would just offer random discounts like that. So I decided to mess with her and kept her chatting for nearly 15 minutes. In the end, she was the one who hung up, telling me to stop messing about and that I was joking. Took the mick, honestly - absolute cow!

Yeah, total scam alert. Got a call with this weird crackling noise, only a beep on the line. When I asked his name, he said Jack but had this really thick Indian accent. Said he was from O2 but spoke super fast and his English was so dodgy I could barely understand. He sounded really twitchy as well. I asked for the company’s address and, boom, he just ended the call. Very suspicious if you ask me.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming to be from O2, trying to sell me a cheaper plan. He asked me to open the O2 app to verify a price change, which I reckon is just a way to start the scam. Claimed to be from my O2 network, this person mentioned they had a special promotion for me - an enticing 30% of extra call minutes, but only for a limited period. Got a call from this number today, but I just didn’t pick up. Honestly, if you don’t recognise a number, it’s better to just let it ring off. I had a rather unpleasant experience with a chap who was pushing web design services. When I inquired about his company's credentials, he couldn't provide any proof and became quite belligerent, insisting I was clueless about the matter. He seemed to think it was irrelevant whether they were a registered business or not. He even claimed that they could ring me anytime, shrugging off GDPR as if it were unimportant.
