Beware, total scam!

Had a ring around 10.15 from someone claiming it was 'three'. They tried to pass me over to another team so they could sell me a 5G sim for £13. Felt a bit iffy about it, especially when they started asking how much I paid on my last bill - I was like, how do you not know that already? The bloke says his name is 'Jack' and there was loads of noise in the background. Definitely sounded dodgy.

Just got a call where all I heard was a robotic voice saying goodbye. Definitely a scam.

Got a call around 10 in the morning, could hear loads of chatting in the background. Rang them back a few mins later but they just cut off after about 10 seconds, no word said!

My phone was on silent this morning about 11, so I didn’t pick up. There was no voicemail or anything, so I looked up the number here to see who it might be.

I answered the phone but said nothing, and after a few seconds, a robotic female voice just said “goodbye” and hung up right away. Weird experience!

I got caught up in a phone scam recently. Someone rang me claiming to be from Three, saying I was eligible for a phone upgrade. Turned out to be fake. Had to call my bank straight away to stop all transactions and also notified Action Fraud. Lesson learned the hard way!

Said it was a London number but they didn’t even say anything, just a silent cold call. I never pick up cold calls anyway.

Out of the blue, a mate of mine received a call that was rather peculiar. The line transmitted a mechanical voice simply stating “goodbye” before abruptly disconnecting. We're both a bit on edge about whether it could be something sinister or just a scam, but it certainly felt quite off and has left us feeling rather perturbed.

Received a call and all I caught was a quick "goodbye" before they hung up. Fingers crossed this isn't one of those dodgy scams that hits you with hidden fees just for picking up the phone.

I had a similar experience; the call ended abruptly after just saying “goodbye.” Quite strange!

It seems like this could be one of those dodgy calls trying to see if the line is still in use.

Ditto - they bid farewell and then ended the call.
