So, this person called me up and somehow knew my name, telling me I'd won a Coca-Cola fridge competition I never signed up for. When I told them that, they said it was fine because the competition was legit and my info was safe. I just wished them good luck with their next scam and hung up straight away.

So I got a call from someone offering 10 free EuroMillions numbers shared with about 150 others. Then, they want you to sign up for a direct debit at £39 a month, where you choose one set of numbers and supposedly get 390 numbers in a syndicate. They only pay out if your share of winnings hits £20 or more. If I do win more than £20 tomorrow and don’t get the money, I’ll be using my 14 day cooling off right away to cancel everything. For those thinking about it, be sure to cancel the direct debit directly with your bank and maybe order a new card just to be safe. They only ask for your sort code, account number and name, but never give out your full card number or CVV. They could use those details to drain your account fast. If nothing over £20 comes my way after tonight’s draw, it’s straight to cancellation for me.

They kept calling non stop, when I picked up they told me I'd won some kind of competition, which I’m sure I never entered so I just hung up.

As soon as I picked up, the person just hung up straight away without saying anything. Seriously, what’s the point of that? I really can’t stand these annoying telemarketers!

This number rang me up three times today. When I finally picked up, the person said I’d made it past some sort of qualifying stage in a competition I supposedly entered back on 28th May. They told me I’d get 10 free EuroMillions lines, plus loads more lottery and Euro ticket lines over the next month, all costing £39.95. They said if I didn’t win anything, I’d be refunded. As soon as I said I wasn’t happy with what she was saying, she just hung up on me. Honestly, steer clear and don’t share any info with this number!

Got a call saying they needed my bank details to “arrange payment if I won a draw tonight” for some Center Parcs prize competition. They already had loads of my info - phone, name, address, DOB, and email. I just hung up when they asked for my BSB and account number, didn’t share anything. Seriously, don’t hand over your bank info to these people!
