Someone called claiming to be from a PPI firm, telling me I've been shortlisted for a big payout. They asked for my bank info, even though they said they’d send a cheque within 5 working days. I asked them why they needed my bank details if the money was coming by cheque, and then they just hung up on me.

The caller didn't sound quite right, their English was pretty bad. When I mentioned I thought it might be a scam, they just ended the call straight away. I'm telling you, be cautious, I really think it was a dodgy call.
