They said they knew I had a contract already, but wouldn’t tell me what brand the machine was or even my own postcode. The person sounded like they were from abroad. I just assumed it was a scam and told them to find a proper job instead.

Total scam. This bloke called me saying he hoped I recalled getting insurance for my home appliances. Then he goes, “Right?” I replied, “Am I correct?” and he just hung up straight away. Such a rubbish attempt. At least he ended the call pretty fast.
