I got a call saying I was owed money back from some investment, but then they tried asking me for extra cash.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with a firm called Fiatvision. They mentioned they were going to repay me over £50,000, supposedly money that FiatVision had ripped off from me about a year back. They said it had to be paid back in bitcoins. Once I asked more questions, though, they demanded 10% of that amount and somehow took control of my PC, trying to move cash from my bank account. I shouldn’t have let them get control of my computer, plain daft of me. Thankfully, as it went on, I caught on that it was a con and hung up straight away. They also ring from other numbers starting with 020 4577... seems they use a few different phone lines.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with a company named Fiatvision. They told me I was owed over £50,000 because Fiatvision supposedly took money from me about a year ago without permission. They said they’d pay me back in bitcoins. But when I asked for more info, they suddenly wanted a 10% cut of the £50,000 and somehow got control of my computer. I didn’t notice at first, but then they tried moving money out of my bank account. Foolish me for letting them access my PC. At that point, I finally noticed it was a complete SCAM and hung up straight away. They also ring from various numbers beginning with 020 4577... so watch out for those.

On the 8th of December, there was a call from an unknown number but my phone is set to automatically block any calls it doesn’t recognise. I was just wondering who it might have been though.

I get calls from them quite a bit here in Spain, but I just don’t pick up.
