However, as soon as I probed further, they requested a hefty 10% fee on the £50,000 and even took control of my computer in an attempt to siphon funds from my bank account. I admit it was foolish of me to allow them remote access. Eventually, I realised it was all a ruse and promptly ended the call. They insisted that they wished to reimburse me over £50,000, supposedly the funds that the company had deceitfully taken from me about a year ago. Initially, it seemed quite legitimate. They mentioned that the reimbursement would be processed in bitcoins. However, as I started probing further into the situation, they demanded a rather hefty 10% cut of that £50,000, and then they took control of my computer, attempting to access my current bank account! I must confess, it was rather foolish of me to allow them access in the first place. It didn’t take long for me to realise I was caught up in a SCAM, so I promptly ended the conversation.
