The moment someone rings up with a dodgy Asian accent calling themselves Harry or George or something posh like Charles, you can bet it’s a con. Doesn’t matter if they claim to represent Virgin, EE, Whirlpool or even the Archbishop of Canterbury. Best to have a few good insults or ways to waste their time ready to give back. I got a call from someone saying they were 'Sky Maintenance' and told me that throughout the first year of my two-year Sky TV deal, I was supposedly signed up to their Maintenance Contract, which I was never really charged for since it was discounted to nothing. They then said that starting today at 5pm, it’s now "mandatory" to continue with the second year of the maintenance, and offered me to pay either monthly or yearly. I just declined and hung up, didn't want any part of it.
