3 yearsHey everyone, just wanted to warn you about some dodgy phone calls I’ve been getting. A while back, I signed up to try out a trading site but after a month I wasn’t happy with it, so I withdrew my small deposit and closed the account. Then suddenly these calls started coming in from London numbers that looked like they were spoofed - full of fake background noise like a busy trading floor, probably to make it sound legit. They’d call me by name, then try to tell me I had over five grand left in my account. They said the company was shutting down and they needed me to download some app to get the money back. Total scam, don’t fall for it! Somehow, they had my details and were likely doing the same to loads of others. Even after I told them I’d shut down the account and taken everything out, they kept insisting the money was mine to claim. I got fed up and told them to keep the money and leave me alone, but the calls just keep coming, about twice a week.
