Told me they were calling from Sky and trying to sell this discounted cover deal for the second year, even though I never had it before. They claimed prices were knocked down from about £140 to £100 for a single year, or £200 down to £160 if you take two years. Apparently it covers everything like the dish, cables, wires, plus phone and broadband. Thing is, I don’t have any Sky services at all, so it felt really dodgy. Definitely a scam in my opinion - don’t give them any payment info!

The government really needs to step in and regulate these firms that let fraudsters use their systems to make it seem like they’re calling from the UK. People receiving these calls deserve some sort of compensation for the hassle. Had Sky way back about 30 years ago, but it’s not with them anymore, not for at least a couple of decades. Sounds like they’re working off outdated lists. Best thing to do is block or just ignore them - they’re only after your info.
