Got a call from someone with an Indian accent about insurance for my Sky box. I told him I don’t own any Sky gear so it must be a scam. He went quiet for a moment, then asked why I didn’t just hang up. I said the longer I stay on the line, the more it’s costing him. He chuckled and said I should be in the circus - I shot back that he already had that role. He ended the call straight away - job done!

I got a call from some Indian call centre saying my Sky Maintenance Contract had ended. I told the woman it was odd since I don’t even subscribe to Sky. I was on a zoom meeting at the time, or else I might've played along a little. Instead, I just hit the hang-up button and blocked the number, never gonna deal with them again.

Got a call from someone saying they were with Sky, telling me my equipment cover was about to run out. I’m not actually a Sky customer, though I do manage an elderly family member’s Sky Broadband. I asked who the account was in, and the bloke just said “yours!” before cutting me off. Seems like it could’ve been a dodgy scam call.
