I played along for ages, then asked her about the Bull Ring shopping centre, she looked confused and clearly didn’t get the joke when I asked if that’s where she gets all her nonsense from. Suddenly, she admitted she was actually in Kolkata, not Birmingham. She promised to email me details and call back next day. I told her I’d be in London giving evidence to the cops about Indian call centre fraudsters tomorrow - she hung up straight away.
