They couldn’t say where they got my phone number from, which makes me think they just purchased some kinda phone list. Some bloke rang me from this number about stocks and trading, saying I’d given my number on their site - which I definitely never did. When I asked who they were, they got all dodgy and then passed me to some “expert” who promised to explain everything. I asked where he was from and he just gave this painfully vague company name, something like “Trading Services Ltd” or whatever. I told him straight up that I never signed up and wasn’t interested, but this guy turned pretty rude and started saying, “How can you not be interested in something you don’t know about?” For ages, we went round in circles with him insisting I was interested when I wasn’t. When I asked for my info to be deleted, he flat out refused! Then he got cheeky asking why I even submitted my details in the first place. I told him not to bother calling me again, but he threatened to ring back “when I’m in a better mood.” I just said if he calls again it’s borderline harassment and he said he’d be ringing tonight. I laughed it off and warned him serious trouble if he did. He said, “Ok madam, got it,” and I hung up. Now just waiting to see if he’ll call so I can waste his time properly.
