Some bloke said he was from **** network - when I asked what network exactly, he just went quiet for a sec then shouted “#### network” with some dodgy background noise. Quite a sneaky scam this one. They claimed to be from o2, saying because I’m a loyal customer I should get a 40% discount. I told them it sounded a bit fishy but they put me through to another person anyway. They kept saying o2 never asks for personal info but said they’d send me a code very soon that I’d have to say back, so they could add it to my account. I asked why they’d need to enter a code for a discount meant for me, shouldn’t I put it in myself? And how would they enter it without even knowing my name? The caller just told me to ‘*’ off and then hung up.
