She tried to get my name and email, but I refused to share any info. She said they needed it to confirm my identity and would send an email and then a text once the deal was applied. I told her I’d rather ring EE myself to check. She then gave me a number, 02081333669, saying it was EE’s promo department. I looked up the number and found it listed as a scam, but I called it anyway just to be sure. A man answered, no background noise like a call centre, so sounded off. I asked him loads of questions, including if the woman already had my data or needed it for verification. He first said they had it and just needed to verify, then switched to saying they had no info at all, then got flustered and hung up. Totally a scam, don’t hand over any of your details to them!EE2 yearsDidn’t pick up since it showed as a possible spam call. They didn’t leave any voicemail either.
