I received a rather dodgy call from what claimed to be an insurance firm, purporting that I had been caught up in a fictitious road accident. It was blatantly a scam! They were clearly fishing for my banking information, asserting they needed it to transfer a supposed payout related to this non-existent claim. Just goes to show how low some individuals will stoop!

Got two calls from this number today. The person said they were with some company called 'automobile assistance.' I ended the call straight away the first time she told me who she was. On the second call, I asked why she was ringing, and she claimed it was to inform me that liability was agreed upon for a small crash I was involved in. Since I did have a little accident last year, I asked for the exact date of the incident before replying. Then she just cut me off and hung up.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Automobile Assistance. I told them I’m on the TPS and to remove me from their calling list. I also mentioned I haven’t been in any accident, then they just ended the call.
