Got a call from this number today claiming I’d won a TV contest I supposedly entered. They said the prize would come through Royal Mail but first, I had to cough up £1.49 for postage. To sort that, they wanted my bank info. I refused to hand over my details and suggested they deduct the postage from the prize money instead, but the woman said that wasn’t possible. No alternatives like PayPal or sending stamps were offered either. So, no prize for me, but at least my bank details stayed safe.
