Some bloke rang claiming to be the energy advisor for my area. I kept cutting in, asking what postcode he was talking about, but he ignored me and just went on with his pitch. I asked him the postcode question about four times and then he just froze, said “right, no worries” and hung up. Definitely a scam.

Some bloke called me sayin my house is in a "red zone" and that my loft insulation is old and needs checking. I told the lad, who sounded really young, that my loft's already boarded out, and he just said all that would have to be ripped up. Honestly, these annoying cold callers are a nightmare, best just to hang up straight away. If they’re scaring older folks like this, it’s just rotten, they need to be stopped for good.

It's unmistakably a con! I'd suggest either cutting the call short or letting it hit the voicemail. If you can, do block this number, though, brace yourself-they’re likely to ring you again from another number. Whatever you do, steer clear of any conversation with them!
