Yeah, it's definitely Lyca Mobile, but no wonder folks think it’s a scam given how rubbish their customer service is! I got a call from some bloke (after asking for a PAC code to leave them) who barely spoke any English. Took me a while to figure out he just wanted to know why I was quitting. When I told him their service is terrible, he tried to bribe me with an extra 20GB of data. Useless when the signal’s so rubbish you can’t even make a call. Then, when I asked if my cancellation was confirmed, he told me to ring Customer Service! I was like, “Wait a minute, who even are you then?” His reply was “Feedback” or something like that! What a joke.

Got three missed calls and when I rang back, all I heard was an answerphone message. Towards the end, it mentioned something about a “subscription” and a woman’s name, but it was really hard to make out.

A lady spoke and gave her name - I think it was Ann? - but I couldn't catch a lot apart from the word “subscription.”

I’ve been changing my phone provider, moving from Lyca to another company that seems to offer better deals. This call showed up while all that was going on. I didn’t really see the call and it ended up going right to my voicemail, which is actually one of the main reasons I’m leaving Lyca. Some bloke said he was from Lyca Mobile, shouting so loud and there was this echo of my own voice everytime I tried to talk back. He got all annoyed when I told him I’d already gone with a different phone company, and even worse when I wouldn’t give him the details of my new contract. Then he just ended the call on me sharpish. No worries though, the feeling’s mutual - they’re a rubbish outfit with terrible service.

Yeah, Lyca after I sent them my PAC code. Honestly, never had such rubbish mobile coverage. The 4G/5G drops out totally during calls (they dont do VoLTE or VoIP) and loads of calls just end up straight on voicemail even if the signal looks fine. The call sound quality is really awful too.

Lycamobile just aren't worth the hassle. Had my plan set to auto-renew but they never took the payment, so it ended up cancelling without me doing anything. I complained a couple of times and kept chasing them nearly daily, but they never got it sorted. In the end, I gave up and switched away. Wouldn't go back to them again, definitely not recommended.

Lyca is awful, I asked for my PAC because their network is rubbish. Even with full signal, calls drop or won’t go through. I can’t even add credit to my account properly, and getting help is impossible - stuck on hold forever on calls and the chat reps just disappear without saying a word. Just not working at all.

She said something like "you are through to a SUBSCRIBER" but I couldn’t catch the first part properly. I’m marking it as harassment because of how many times they keep ringing.

Yeah, it's definitely Lyca. Me and my missus switched to Lyca just a few weeks back, about three to be exact. We've both missed quite a few calls, including some really important ones about medical appointments. We asked for our PAC codes since we're trying to leave them fast, and then both of us got calls from this number today - seems like it’s the Lyca disconnection team. All I can say is, they’re probably swamped dealing with all the issues and poor service from Lyca.

Loads of folks calling this a scam but they don’t really say why, even tho others like me seem to be in the same boat. I left LYCA and asked for a PAC code, now I’m getting texts about missed calls but there’s nothing in my call log. They look like real missed call alerts, but I’m not convinced. Just got a new contract with EE today at their Walworth Road shop in SE15 London. I’m starting to think maybe someone working there might be up to no good since I had to share loads of personal info like my account and home address. I’m definitely going to report it to EE. When I think about it, the main reason they made it possible to get PAC codes by text was so you could switch networks without having to deal with some shady bloke talking rubbish.
