I tried calling that number again, but nobody picked up.

Had a ring from this number earlier. A chap was chatting about investments and firms based abroad. They did inquire for some info, but it was nothing overly intrusive-just things like your age and email. Quite frankly, it seemed rather like they were trying to peddle a product rather than anything nefarious. At no point did they request any sensitive bank info or personal ID that could be misused.
