I’m thoroughly tired of receiving calls from numbers I’ve never seen before. I refuse to pick up, but they’re a right pain nonetheless. There seem to be an overwhelming number of scammers out there lately. I dealt with a few dodgy calls last year, for crying out loud! As if we didn’t have enough going on with all this Covid business. It really makes me long for the simpler times when only mates or family would call just to have a natter.

His temper flared, and he went off on one, raising his voice. He ended the call with a rather dramatic remark: "Fine, you won't receive anything then." Truth be told, I'm quite okay with that, as long as my banking details remain safe and sound.
