I got a call about loft insulation and when they asked if I own the place or rent, I answered but was a bit blunt about it.

I had a chap ring me the other day, trying to persuade me to kick off some trading with his firm. He wouldn’t stop banging on about the massive returns they were achieving. He confidently assured me that I’d be rolling in it before long. Apparently, he’d turn my investment into three times its worth in a fortnight! I wasn’t interested and told him as much, but he kept pestering me with calls. In the end, I had no choice but to block his number!

The only good feedback seems to come from the owner themselves. Be careful giving them your phone number because they’ll call you nonstop.
