Got a call from someone claiming to be “John” saying he was ringing from Three. Pretty sure it was a scam though, sounded like some kind of robot or AI trying to trick me.

Total rip off, watch out!

I received a rather dubious phone call the other day promoting a supposedly 40% discount on O2 calls. The chap on the other end was rather insistent about obtaining all my personal information. I’d advise you to just hang up if he tries to reach you!

Annoyingly, I keep receiving these nuisance calls where they don't even bother to say anything before cutting off. It's getting quite tiresome!

This woman was talking way too quickly, I couldn’t catch a word, so I ended up hanging up. Pretty sure it was some kind of scam. She kept ringing me again but I just ignored it and then blocked the number straight away.

I didn’t pick up since the number was unfamiliar to me.

An Asian gentleman is asserting that he represents "O2." I strongly suspect it’s a con, so if possible, do block this number or simply hang up. Stay safe, everyone!

I've been receiving calls from a chap named David-sounds quite Asian-who insists I hold a SIM-only deal with O2. He’s been ringing me from this number, claiming to represent O2. Honestly, it's a hoot! I don't even have an account with them! Looks like it’s all a bit of spammy nonsense and possibly a scam to boot. Best advice? Just hang up straight away and consider blocking this number on your phone.

Somebody claiming to be from 02 didn’t even get my name or email right, so I knew straight away it was a scam. Honestly, I was daft to keep chatting with them, honestly. They kept pushing me to upgrade, and after I said no about six times, they offered me 40% off if I told them how much my bill was and gave them the six-digit code they supposedly sent me. Then they asked for my mum’s maiden name! I really shouldn’t have picked up the phone at all. Definitely a total scam!

Fraud alert! They claim to be from O2, but trust me, they’re definitely not. If you happen to give them access to your account, they'll attempt to upgrade your device but will actually order something entirely different in a bid to intercept it or persuade you to ‘send it back.’ Fortunately, I had my wits about me and managed to halt the situation before it escalated. Steer clear of these dodgy characters! O2 would never make calls of this nature!

It seems that O2's tactics might be a bit dodgy; it's probably best to steer clear and not get involved.

Received a call from a foreign-sounding voice claiming to be from O2; it was obviously a scam. I've since blocked the number.

Got a call from a woman using this number, saying she was from O2, which she claimed was my phone company. Thing is, O2 isn’t my provider at all! So I just hung up straight away, no way was I letting her say anything or try to get any info from me. After that, I blocked the number too.

They’ve been pestering me for a code they claimed to need from O2. Clearly a scam! I strung them along on the phone for a good ten minutes.

Listed as unknown and looks a bit dodgy, might be a scam.

Just a heads up, it’s one of those 02 scams - don’t go entering any codes they tell you!

I usually just ignore any calls from numbers I don’t recognise, especially when they don’t bother leaving a voicemail. Over the past five months, I’ve gotten quite a few calls coming from the London area code like this one.

It seems like someone was impersonating O2. Quite the cheeky move!

Some bloke pretending to be from O2 called me, saying they had a discount and an upgrade for me. They had all my info from my account, or so it seemed. They sent a 6-digit code to my phone and I stupidly read it back to them. Feeling proper embarrassed about it, but if my mess-up stops someone else falling for the same trick, then it’s worth sharing!

Got a call from someone claiming to be 02, wanted to speak to me by name but I’m not even a customer. Definitely a scam, best not to pick up.

Absolutely a con, mate! They claim to be O2 and are supposedly offering a 40% discount along with a chance to upgrade to a shiny new iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Just don’t entertain them for even a second. Believe me, I’ve fallen for it, and I can already hear the chuckles! If sharing my embarrassment can save someone else from the same fate, then I’m all for it...wishing you all a splendid day! :)

I can confirm that this is definitely a fraudulent operation. I fell victim to it myself! They had information from my O2 account, which made me believe they were legitimate. I can just imagine the thoughts running through your minds about this-it’s all true! Haha. In any case, do yourself a favour and avoid this like the plague!

I'd advise giving a wide berth to any calls from this number, as it appears to be involved in some dodgy dealings. A chap rang me, saying he represented O2, and tried to entice me with a supposed 50% cut on my current O2 plan. Quite funny, really, as I'm not even with O2! Definitely felt like a scam to me!

I received a message claiming to be from O2, requesting a code from texts they sent me. They were extremely insistent even after I ended the call, ringing me back no less than five times before I decided enough was enough and blocked the number. Quite intrusive, if you ask me!

Received a call purportedly from 'O2', requesting a code that they claimed to have sent me. I would definitely recommend blocking this number and ignoring any attempts to engage. It seems rather dodgy, possibly a scam. Stay vigilant!

I received a call purporting to be from O2, claiming they could slash my bill by a whopping 40%, but they insisted on sending a code to my mobile. I told them straight up that if they were indeed from O2, they should simply apply the discount to my bill without the need for any codes. Sensing a scam, I swiftly ended the conversation and wouldn't advise anyone to share their codes.
