Telephone scammers trying to talk me into stuff about money can ring all they want, next time I’ll give them a long spiel before finally saying nah I’m not up for it. Same goes for those accident callers, I spin some crazy tale then end with, I dunno, that I was wasted or something, or even say I lost me head in the accident. Keeps it interesting!

I can't quite tell if I was on the receiving end of a dodgy sales call or something more sinister. A chap rang me up, claiming to represent a so-called Financial Trading Centre. He was pestering me to sign up for a three-month subscription, boasting that the first month would be free of charge. His pitch revolved around diving into trading and putting money into cryptocurrencies. Definitely raised a few alarm bells for me!

Got a call this morning about 8am from someone claiming my router is about to break down. Then they went on about how I needed some kind of protection plan. Said they were from Open Reach - don’t fall for it! I always tell them straight away, “If I haven’t used your service before, why would I start now? Everything at my place is already sorted, including my bank.” I decide who I want to deal with, and it’s definitely not people calling me out of the blue like this.

They start off with a name and chat about trading, but honestly, who’s gonna trust some random person ringing out the blue trying to push investment or trading tips?
