I got a voicemail pretending to be from VISA, saying there was a charge of £900 on my card. I ended the message pretty quickly and deleted it because I wasn’t gonna listen to any instructions - I don’t even own a VISA card!

Got a call from a woman who sounded Chinese, asking for me by name. She was all keen to help sort out my debts. What debts? I asked. Told her to jog on, but she wouldn’t take no for an answer and kept pushing until I finally had to hang up. Just another scam. Blocked the number straight away.

I just received a rather distressing phone call from someone claiming to be with National Debt Advice. They inquired about my late mother, who passed away a year and a half ago. Apparently, they had received my details because I hadn't managed to keep up with my payments for the past couple of months. It’s particularly upsetting to get such a call, especially with the festive season approaching. It's quite inconsiderate, to say the least!

Beware, it’s definitely a con. They claim to be from EE offering a six-month discount on your bill and ask for your personal info. Then they send you a PIN and tell you to give it to them - that’s how they get into your account. They also say you’ve won an iPad or Apple Watch in their Christmas raffle. I got caught out by this, but about ten minutes later EE’s fraud team called me because they spotted several orders being made on my account. Thankfully, EE spotted it quickly and rang me! So please, don’t be fooled like I was.
