I received a rather unsolicited call from Carphone Warehouse touting some sort of "Black Market" discount, which frankly raised a few red flags for me. However, I was pressed for time and couldn’t stick around to decipher their spiel. Just a bit suspicious, if you ask me!

I received a call claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, presenting me with an enticing offer for an iPhone 14. However, I turned it down as I had my doubts about its authenticity. It felt rather dodgy to me, almost as if it were a scam!

Scam alert! They asked for my bank info linked to my phone contract, but the thing is, I actually don’t have any phone contract at all.

I just ignored the call and didn’t answer. I’m not involved with anything in London, and even if I was, they usually leave a proper voicemail or arrange a time to phone me back.

There was a pause with no sound, then suddenly this weird robotic beep popped up before the call got cut off.

I got a call supposedly from HMRC and was told they had sent me a letter, but it got returned to them. They said they’re going to take legal steps. A woman answered and asked for my name, but when I wanted to know what this was about, she was really sharp and curt with me, even telling me not to waste her time before just hanging up.

It was about 5.08 in the evening on Wednesday, 30th November 2022. A lady with an Indian accent called me, saying they needed me to fiddle with my internet router to figure out why my computer was running slow. Her English wasn’t very clear. Right away, I told her to buzz off and ended the call.

They called trying to push the latest iPhone on me. I mentioned I was registered with the TPS, and they ended the call pretty sharpish.
