You should text 7726 to alert your phone company about suspicious calls. That way, they can flag the number on their network. Sadly, we can’t file scam reports directly with the police’s Action Fraud site anymore - it’s been shut down, probably to cut costs or something. Might be worth having a word with your local MP about the closure. However, you can still send screenshots of scam messages to the cyber crime unit via email at '[email protected]' and don’t forget to pass them on to 7726 too.

This number rang me up the other day, and it was a guy claiming to be from Currys PC World. He was trying to push some mobile phone deals. I told him I wasn’t bothered and then we just hung up. The bloke was polite enough, but I’d be careful with this number. Feels dodgy, could be a scam for sure!

A polite sounding Asian guy called me from this number, pretending to be from my bank and asking for my account info. Definitely trying to scam me.
