I received a phone call from these individuals who claimed they were not trying to sell me anything when I expressed my reluctance. The caller insisted he was representing Virgin and said I had won a giveaway for a fantastic deal on an iPhone 14 Plus. They mentioned it would only set me back £25 a month, but first, I needed to settle my previous phone bill of £15. I must admit, I felt a bit foolish as they asked for my address, email, and banking details. Fortunately, I had transferred all my funds to a different account just in case something shady was going on, as it turns out, it was indeed a scam since the phone never arrived.

Gave that number a bell again and ended up hearing a pre-recorded message from Smart Compare. I promptly ended the call.

So, I rang up EE hoping to snag a discount on my bill, and would you believe it, they transferred me to a manager who turned out to be the same bloke! 😂 He requested my name, address, and date of birth, which seemed a bit dodgy. After I told him to clear off, he actually threatened to make my life a nightmare. What a joke! Total scam, if you ask me.

I received a call just before from a Harrogate number that cut off after two rings. Upon answering this other number, there was complete silence on the other end. I didn’t bother responding, and after a mere ten seconds, they decided to end the call themselves. What a load of time wasters!
