I received a pre-recorded voice note purportedly from HMRC, saying I'd neglected to settle my tax obligations and that the matter would be escalated to a magistrate. Clearly a scam; I recommend reporting it and blocking the number immediately.

I received an unexpected call the other day; they greeted me with a cheery "Welcome to HELC!" and prompted me to press 1. Curious, I looked up the number, only to find out it was linked to Bank of America. The funniest part? I'm based in the UK and don’t even hold a Bank of America card - not even a banking card of any kind! All very odd indeed!
