I got a call from someone called "Sandra" who had a pretty strong foreign accent, saying she was from British Gas about my boiler service. Thing is, I don’t actually have British Gas as my supplier. As soon as I told her that, she just hung up straight away.

Got a nasty call claiming I had a warrant out for tax evasion and that if I didn’t pay now, I’d be heading straight to jail. I cheekily thanked them for the warning and joked that a Christmas behind bars would be cozy and cut down on heating costs. I’ve since reported the number to HMRC and blocked it.

This person said they were from EE, my phone company, and wanted to find out how much I pay on my bill every month. I told them to tell me, since if they really worked for EE, they'd already have access to my payment info. On the 5th of December 2022 at about 2:16pm, I got a call from 020 4538 1805. After it ended, I quickly received two more calls back to back from these numbers: 029 2271 5884 and 01295 577417. All three seem to be scam numbers, probably linked to the same bunch. Definitely dodgy!
