My phone went off and I picked up, but stayed quiet as the number was unfamiliar. A lady's voice came through asking if I could hear her properly. When I asked who she was, she said she represented some company offering free medical alert devices. Then she asked if I was older than 70. I said no and quickly ended the call. No chance I’m sharing any personal info with callers like that - too many dodgy scams around these days.

I reckon it’s spam. They ring loads in one day, about 2 or 3 times, but never actually wait for me to pick up because of the BT caller ID and block system I’ve got. Then they go quiet for a week or two. Pretty sure it’s the same lot every time.

I got a call from this woman who talked really clearly about some solar panel scam. Honestly, I nearly replied just because she spoke so well. Was about to ask how she ended up pushing that nonsense, but thought better of wasting my breath.

Got a call around 11:20 this morning about a free solar panel quote - provided I hadn’t already had one done. They claimed to be based in London, but judging by the way the call sounded all choppy and with weird pauses (guessing because of VOIP?), they could’ve been calling from anywhere really. Their answers were a bit patchy and I wasn’t sure what to expect. They said they were from some solar energy firm or something.

Got a call from 02045380992 at around 9:25 this morning on Thursday 26th Oct. I ignored it since I didn't know the number and it wasn’t saved in my contacts. After reading some earlier comments about this number, I decided to block it and flagged it as a scam or suspicious. Better safe than sorry!

I didn’t get to pick up, the answerphone kicked in and the moment it started they just ended the call.

I called the main number and waited for the voicemail to pick up. When it showed up as a private number on my phone, I didn’t pick up. As soon as they heard the message, they hung up straight away. I just checked this site and I’m glad I didn’t actually answer. I bet they’ll try calling again though. Fingers crossed they lose interest soon.

I received a rather peculiar call today, seemingly part of some market survey. The person asked me whether I had a financial plan in place, then proceeded to mention something quite unsettling about the government having the power to compel individuals to sell their properties if they required certain care services. I found it all rather off-putting and decided to end the conversation.

Since they didn’t bother to leave a message, I’ve just added them to my block list. Calls where they ring but don’t talk usually make me think it’s dodgy.
