Someone rang me saying they were from a UK government team that sorts out debt. They promised to wipe out my debts but had a strange foreign accent and wanted me to give personal financial details. It seemed like a total scam to me. I told them straight up I don’t share private info with strangers who call out of the blue. I also said I wasn’t interested in chatting any further. Despite that, they kept trying to talk over me. So I just hung up.

Lycamobile, I requested a PAC code yesterday, and all I got was a barrage of questions about my reasons for wanting to part ways. Honestly, it's completely fine to discuss my reasons, but it does seem a bit unnecessary!

About six days back I got a call from someone with a thick accent that sounded like it was from the Indian sub-continent. The guy said he was Tom from O2. Since I doubt O2 has reps calling from that region, I figured it was probably a scam. I told him thanks but no thanks, maybe he should find a different target, and hung up. Just got around to jotting this down now after clearing a pile of stuff.

I can't quite fathom why they persist in ringing me during my workday. I never pick up, so what's the point? It’s rather perplexing, isn't it?

Just had a dodgy call from someone pretending to be with EE, trying to peddle supposed upgrades. I’ve reported them and binned their number!

Somebody rang saying they were from EE, trying to sell me some phone upgrades and new deals. I told them I already have the newest iPhone and asked what phone they thought I could possibly upgrade to. Next thing I know, they just ended the call!

Looks like these numbers are all linked, probably sent out by Trilio for the same scammy purpose. I’ve had three calls in two days from nearly identical numbers. I’m just blocking the whole range now. Some phones let you block by the first 8 or 9 digits, which makes it easier. Hope this stops anyone else from getting annoyed by these calls.

I got a call earlier from someone pretending to be Three, trying to trick me into signing up for a new contract and upgrading my phone. When I refused, they sounded really annoyed and a bit pushy. Definitely a scam, so watch out!

I got a call earlier, the person sounded like they might’ve been from Wales or somewhere similar. Just the typical spiel selling some great phone plan. I passed the phone to my granddaughter, and she ended up hanging up on them.

So I got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be Sam from my 02 network. I told him I was tied up and asked what the call was about. He said he'd call again later, but I told him no need. Pretty sure it was a scam.

Had a funny feeling this might be spam, so I was on my guard. Picked up the phone anyway and all I got was some crackly noise and a muffled voice before the call dropped. Now I've gone ahead and blocked that number.

Someone said they were from O2 but as soon as I told them I’m not with O2, they just ended the call. Bit strange really.

Just got a call pretending to be from Vodafone. They started telling me about a new iPhone deal but as soon as I said I wasn’t keen, they just cut me off. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with 3, trying to sell me an upgrade. They were really aggressive about it. I asked for their name, and they said they already had my info but wanted to double-check. When I asked them to say the name on my account, they just cut off the call. Definitely don't share anything with these folks!

I got a call where they left a voicemail, but there was absolutely nothing on it, just silence.
