3 monthsObvious scam. Woman purporting to call from Virgin Media and O2. She told me they needed to send me a new 5G-enabled SIM card to replace my current one. I'm neither with Virgin nor O2. And my old-but-reliable phone wouldn't be able to do 5G anyway. I queried her insistence on the new SIM card needing to be supplied by one from Virgin or O2. I continued stringing her along to waste as much of her time as possible. She hung up eventually...Virgin MediaO2Virgin3 monthsGot a call from a lady claiming she was ringing from O2 and Virgin Media. She said they had to send me a new SIM with 5G because my current one was outdated. Problem is, I’m not a customer of either Virgin or O2. Plus, my phone is pretty old so 5G wouldn’t even work on it. I kept questioning why the new SIM had to be from Virgin or O2, just to see where it was going. Kept her chatting for a while to eat up her time, and in the end she just hung up on me...O2Virgin MediaVirgin5G3 monthsAs soon as they heard it was Apple calling, I just ended the call straight away.Apple4 monthsGot a phone call from someone claiming to be with Sky, but I’m pretty sure it was a scam.Sky5 monthsI got a call from two blokes with English names who claimed to be from a mobile phone company. They said they needed to swap my SIM and threatened to block my number if I didn’t cooperate. Pretty sure they were Indian scammers because the call got passed around between them. Absolutely disgusting behaviour, hope they get caught and face consequences for ripping people off like this.7 monthsRight after I said “hello?
