Got a call at 10.30 on Tuesday morning, 1st December 2020. After that awkward silent moment, it was the typical scam attempt. The bloke claimed to be from the so-called "National Call Blocking Service" - yeah, right. I told him he was talking nonsense and hung up straight away. Two simple tips from me: 1. If there's a weird silent pause, just hang up. 2. If you hear an Asian accent trying this, hang up too. Simple as that once you catch on!

Got a call from this cheeky Asian guy who was proper rude. When I asked why he was ringing me, he just went on about whether I needed a mental health doctor. I laughed and told him he’s dreaming if he thinks he can get a doc these days. After a bit more back and forth with insults flying, he just ended the call. What a muppet!

We got a call from 02045305819 on a phone we hardly ever answer, so I just let it ring out and land on voicemail. The bloke on the line sounded Asian (I'll give him the benefit of the doubt) and started leaving a message, but then he suddenly stopped, probably realising he was chatting to an answerphone! After seeing what others have said, it’s surprising they don’t just block their own number from calling folks!

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent, claiming to be from a call blocking service that was getting an upgrade. She asked to speak to me, so I asked who was calling. Then she started listing my address details - that’s when I hung up. Total scam, no doubt about it.

Today, I finally answered, and it was a man with an Asian accent claiming they could lower my phone bill. He wanted my email, even though he already had my phone number and address. I hung up, but the calls kept coming. Before his last try, I searched the number online and realised it was a scam. So on his next call, I told him straight I knew he was dodgy and slammed the phone down with a colourful word.

I received a call from an Asian gentleman representing a call blocking service. At first, he was exceedingly courteous. However, when I pointed out that he had misdialled both my number and name, his demeanour shifted dramatically. He became quite flustered and ended the conversation rather abruptly, almost throwing a tantrum!

Got a call from some "call blocking service" claiming I'd used them earlier and wanted to update info. Told them it never did anything for me and hung up, then blocked the number. I’m sure they’ll try again from a new number though. Why is it impossible to get rid of these scammers for good? So annoying!!!

Got a call from an Asian guy named James claiming to be from some call blocking company. He said he could help stop all the annoying calls I get. Then he goes, “Like this one?” I replied, “Yeah, sure.” He then said, “You don’t get it,” to which I shot back “I do - you want me to pay you money.” Tried to ask him more questions but he just cut me off! Proper cheeky if you ask me.

got a call from an asian lady talking about blocking nuisance calls, she said she could upgrade my service to stop them. i told her i’m not on the TPS list and asked if she meant blocking calls from people like her, then just hung up.

Got a call from this number around 9.20am today. The guy launched into some story about it being a call blocking service and then started asking me how I usually pay my phone bill. Tried to get me to verify the card I use for payment. Pretty sure it was some scammer trying to snag my card info.

Somebody rang me saying they were from a call blocking company. When I asked which company they were with, they said Sky. They told me I needed to update my bank card to get the service running. As soon as I said no to giving out my card info, they kept pushing. I hung up, but they’ve called me back three times after that.

It’s sad really that some folks feel they have no choice but to scam others just to get by. Us gullible lot are only making things harder for them! I always hang up halfway through their calls, but they keep trying again, hoping you’ll fall for it. Their main aim? To get hold of your bank info, credit card numbers, or even your ID. So watch out for those callers with foreign accents - they’re not to be trusted.

This bloke said he was with some call blocking company. When i refused to say who i was, he got all shouty asking why i even picked up the phone instead of the person he asked for. I just told him he was clearly trying to scam me and he slammed down the phone.

Without a doubt, it's a scam. They keep pushing for information about how I pay my mobile bills and get quite rude when you don't give it. Proper persistent too, which was really annoying.
