Got a call from someone called Lucas, said he was with blockchain.com and that there was a big amount of money waiting for me. But first, they needed me to pay some kind of commission fee to get it. Definitely a scam, watch out!

Just had an intriguing phone call from this number today, all about Bitcoin. Honestly, I was quite tempted since I dabbled in it a few years back. The chap on the other end introduced himself as Chris Mathews and he was rather persuasive. His pitch was that I required to fork out £415 in commission to unlock a whopping £134,900. I played it cool and mentioned that I’d need to look into things first. He’s set to ring me back on Friday, the 27th of May, 2022.

I decided not to answer as the number was unfamiliar, and after reading the reviews, I’m quite relieved I didn’t.

This is clearly a blatant scam! They rang me up claiming that I had £90,000 in bitcoin and wanted me to fork out £500 as a fee to access those funds. I've never had a thing for bitcoin or any cryptocurrency, to be honest. Thankfully, I wasn't gullible enough to get caught up in their dodgy scheme.

some dodgy bloke rang me claiming he was from blockchain.com and said i had 4 bic in some sort of recovered cash ready for me to claim. i sussed it was a con pretty quickly but decided to humour him till he asked me to send £500 worth of bic to unlock the money. he got all aggy once he twigged i knew more about bitcoin and blockchain than he did haha.

Someone rang up saying they were from the "blockchain support team" and mentioned they had money for me. They actually knew my name, but it was definitely a scam.

i found this call a bit fishy right from the start. they rang me about 4 times in just an hour. they wanted me to stay on the phone, saying they needed my voice for some kind of file verification. ive never been asked to do that before and when they mentioned it might take 20 minutes i thought no way and ended the call. after reading the reviews here, i’m relieved i trusted my instincts. the number they called from was 02045258286.

Got another irritating call from someone saying I've got a huge bitcoin balance of £280,862 just sitting there waiting for me. They wanted me to pay 200 bitcoin to unlock my account and get the money transferred. Honestly, I've never even dealt with bitcoin before, so watch out everyone, it’s a total scam!

I got a call from some obvious scammers claiming I had Bitcoin worth 150,000 euros just sitting idle somewhere. They wanted me to pay a 500 euro "fee" to release it. Honestly, don’t fall for it and never give these crooks a penny!

Got a call from someone overseas who knew my name and was going on about some money I supposedly never got back??? Sounds like a brand new type of scam to me. Blocked the number straight away!
