I tried ringing 020 4525 5525 but got no response. Then, not long after, I received a callback from MyHeritage, which seemed totally legit. I’d phoned them earlier and they said they’d call me back with the info I needed. At no point did they ask for any bank info or anything like that.

I keep getting these calls and I just block them straight away. They’re definitely scams.

Somebody rang, claimed to be from my heritage or something, then just ended the call. Strange!

I picked up the phone on the second ring today but nobody spoke when I answered. They'd called once before that too.

Got a call from a woman claiming to be from My Heritage, trying to pitch me a better deal. I told her no thanks, and she replied with a surprised, "Really? Okay, thanks," then just ended the call. Weird thing is, she even knew my name.

i think it was cause i searched my family history online using one of those free sites. these guys are non stop, trying to get you to subscribe and clearly ringing more people than they can manage. when i answered, i could hear them chatting to someone else before it disconnected. the calls come from somewhere in south asia and the names they give are usually andrew, norman, david, or michael, but their english isn’t great. it feels really dodgy, especially since they pretend to call from a uk number.

i reckon it had something to do with my heritage, since i’d only just started looking at a free family tree online. these people dont give up, always pushing for you to sign up, and they ring loads more folks than they can talk to properly. when they called me, they were already on the phone with someone else, i caught some of the convo before it dropped. the calls come from somewhere in south asia, and the people on the line always use names like andrew, michael, david or norman but their english isn’t great. feels a bit dodgy to me, especially when they use a uk number to ring up.

My phone rang while I was already talking to someone else, so I couldn’t pick up. They didn’t leave a voicemail either. I’d just been browsing the heritage website before the call, so after seeing some of the other comments, it’s got me a bit suspicious.

Just had a ring from this number about ten minutes back. The person on the line was representing 'My Heritage', a site for tracing family trees. I noticed they’re currently offering free access to certain genealogical records on their site, which seems to entice them to reach out for subscriptions afterwards. It's not my first run-in with this; I've encountered the same spiel on a couple of occasions over the past year. I responded kindly but firmly declined their offer, and I've now added this number to my BT Call Protect list to prevent any further bother.

I recently terminated my subscription, and wouldn't you know it, just five minutes later this number rings me up. Quite the coincidence, isn't it?

I chose not to pick up the phone when this number rang, but having browsed through earlier remarks, it seems likely it's related to My Heritage. I had been perusing my subscription options prior to this, but hadn’t confirmed anything. If that's indeed what it was, then it strikes me as rather pushy and unsolicited advertising.

Today I got two calls from this number. I'm usually pretty cautious and don’t pick up numbers I don't recognise. But on the second ring, I answered, and to my surprise the guy on the line called me by my first name! I just hung up straight away. How on earth did this bloke find out my name?

The caller introduced herself as a representative from My Heritage. When I informed her that I was not interested in renewing my subscription, which I had just cancelled, she rather impolitely remarked that she hadn't solicited that information. I pressed her for the purpose of her call, to which she simply said she was curious if I had any inquiries. I decided to cut the conversation short, making it clear that I viewed this as an unwelcome cold call and preferred to be left alone without further interruptions.

I recently had a call from this number, and initially, I was convinced it was just another scam. However, as the conversation unfolded, it became clear they were affiliated with my heritage and were keen to persuade me to join their subscription service. Quite a surprising turn of events, to say the least!

I can’t shake the impression that this is tied to MyHeritage. I was browsing their website searching for some family tree info, and before I knew it, I was redirected to a subscription page. Just moments later, my phone buzzed with a call from a withheld number, followed by a call from a mobile which I promptly rejected. Then, not long after, this unknown number attempted to ring me, which I chose to ignore. Really takes the cake for pushy marketing tactics, doesn’t it?

It’s Sunday, the 1st of August, and the clock’s just struck ten to four in the afternoon! Seriously, who makes a phone call on a Sunday? I chose not to pick up since I didn’t recognise the number at all. Having scoured some comments about this caller, it seems it might just be ‘My Heritage’, seeing as I ordered two kits just last night! Oddly enough, the caller didn’t bother to leave a voicemail. How peculiar!

I’ve got a complimentary account with My Heritage for my family history pursuits. They sent me an email with an offer, and when I clicked on the link, I received a phone call almost immediately-completely unsolicited!

I suspect this might genuinely be a follow-up regarding my activity on MyHeritage, especially since I've received a few related emails from them. The gentleman on the line had an unmistakable American accent and was already familiar with the details of my family tree that I'd previously recorded. While I do have an account with them, it's not fully operational, and I don't currently subscribe. So, it makes sense they’re eager to entice me into their premium service. He presented a rather appealing discount alongside a complimentary gift card. I'm certainly intrigued as they do offer a decent service. However, I’m still weighing my options. Just a word of caution: if you find yourself lured in, do ensure they’re legitimate before committing to anything.

Earlier today, I got an email that seemed to be from MyHeritage, offering something intriguing. I followed the link but decided against signing up and closed the page. To my surprise, not even twenty minutes later, I received a call from this same number claiming to represent MyHeritage. The odd thing is, I’ve never shared my phone number with them! It feels like either a cleverly crafted scam or a rather pushy marketing strategy at play.
