Here we go once more. Another one of those Microsoft Tech Support calls, all mumbling and reading from the same tired script - “go to this site, your PC’s got a virus,” and so on. I kept him chatting for a bit, just to mess about and throw answers that didn’t match what he expected. Quite amusing in a way. Still, it’s a bit of a downer in the end.

Some bloke with a thick Indian accent rang me claiming to be from a phone shop trying to sell an iPhone 13. He kept pestering me about how much I pay every month and kept saying he had a cracking deal for me. I asked where he got my number from and told him I wasn’t interested in buying a new phone. I refused to say what I was paying monthly and just kept repeating myself until he eventually gave up and hung up. He also asked for my email to send offers, which I didn’t give him.

Got a call like this one, pure scam. Don’t answer or share any info with them, they’re just after your cash. Honestly, it’s better to just let it ring and not bother.

At first, I felt a bit iffy about the call as they were talking about these new deals, and I wasn't sure if it was some kind of con or not. Still, I decided to take a chance. Surprisingly, the following day my Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 arrived, and everything was just as promised. They gave me a decent deal and i ended up with exactly what i wanted. First, they ringed me up with a £20 offer for an iphone 12, but I told them i was after the iphone 12 pro max instead. They then offered me that for £27, which seemed alright. I accepted the deal and the parcel arrived the very next day, everything was just as promised.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Carphone Warehouse - sounded like an Indian bloke. I told him my phone’s actually company property, and I don’t pay a penny for calls or data. Still, he kept pushing some "amazing offer" on me. So I said, if he really wanted to beat my current plan, Carphone Warehouse would have to pay me every time I picked up the phone. He quickly said, "No way, Sir, we can't do that." I pointed out that meant they had no better deal after all. That seemed to rile him up - he lost his cool, said some nasty words, then just hung up on me.
