Got a call from some firm called State of Interest. They somehow knew my name even though I never gave it to them. They said I'd signed up but hadn’t finished the process. Then they claimed I could boost my income from £6,000 a month to £10,000. Honestly, if only I made £6k a month! 😂 Told them to erase my info and to stop bothering me. Guess I’ll find out if they actually listen.

Sounds like a classic investment rip-off to me. The bloke kicked off with "I'm not here to sell you anything," which just made me laugh. Honestly, I couldn't care less about the scam itself, but it really winds me up how they assume I'm daft enough to fall for it.

I got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent, kept pushing me to answer his questions. He actually called me by my name, which threw me off a bit. Asked if I wanted to make some extra cash because of how prices keep going up. Then he started about Covid, asking if I'd noticed how it’s affected money’s value. He went on about how crypto could help with that and said a team of pros would support me. Also wanted to know what I do for work. Kept asking if I was interested in boosting my income and stuff like that.

Some woman with a funny accent rang me and said her name was Dave. She just jumped right in with “Hi [my name], how’s it going?” When I told her she had the wrong person, she kinda stumbled and said oh alright then. Then she went on to ask if I was interested in a loan or something. I just ended the call straight away.

This bloke kept going on about how a work mate had rung me back in July and that he was just following up. Turned out he was trying to rope me into some kind of online trading scheme. I told him loads of times I don’t talk to strangers on the phone, figured that’d shut him down but he just wouldn’t quit. His English was terrible and he sounded like he was reading from some script. He even claimed he was calling from Spain! In the end, I had no choice but to just hang up on him.

Some bloke with a thick Indian accent said he was ‘Mike from financial info education’ or something like that. He reckoned he’d already sent me some financial details, but when I asked where he got my number from and if he was legit or regulated by the FEA, the call just cut off. Bit suspicious if you ask me.
