I got a call from a London number saying it was about my gas and electric bills, but they never mentioned which company they were from. They asked for my name and then tried to get my card info to pay some supposed outstanding balance. Honestly, it felt like a total scam, probably just some call centre in India. I rang back but got a recorded message saying ‘thanks for calling, don’t waste your money’. I looked up the company and they’re supposed to be in Birmingham, but the number showed as coming from London. Feels like a scam to me.
