When I picked up the phone, I just stayed quiet waiting for the person to say something first. But after a few seconds, like 3 or so, they just ended the call. Pretty weird!

I got a call from someone claiming I’d won a prize from a competition I supposedly entered last week. Problem is, I never took part in any contest. She asked if I was over 18 and whether I shared my bank details with anyone - instantly made me suspicious. Then she started asking for my bank’s name and my account number. I said I wasn’t home and couldn’t chat at the moment, and when she asked when to call back, I said in an hour. She absolutely did call back though. I checked the number online and found out it was a total scam. Avoid these people at all costs!

Fraud alert! Steer clear and absolutely do not share your banking information with them!

Watch out, it's a scam they try to trick you into giving your bank info so they can steal your money. Don't fall for it!

I received a rather fishy message claiming I'd won £2000. The person on the other end was curious whether I was over 18 and insisted on getting my bank details, including my account number, to supposedly deposit the winnings. It's clearly a scam! Please, for the sake of your personal info, don't share any of your details!

Utterly dodgy! They’re after your banking information. Don’t be daft and hand over your account details to these chancers. Stay sharp!

Phone rang and a young woman on the other end said I won some contest I never signed up for. She started asking for my bank info, but I said I wasn’t near my bank details then she asked me to open my banking app on my phone while she waited. I told her I don’t use online banking. She then said she’d ring back later. Honestly, this has scam written all over it. Never share your bank info with strangers or you risk losing all your money.

At first, I really thought they were legit, but reading what others said changed my mind. Ended up having to freeze my account, so gutted about the whole thing 😞😞

They rang me up thrice in about five mins. I picked up each time but just stayed silent. They didn’t say a word and after a while, just ended the call.

Someone called saying I’d won a £1000 Tesco voucher, but I’m pretty sure I never entered any competition like that.

I got two calls from this number, the first time they said they were from the Inland Revenue. Then they left a voicemail, but you'd have to pay to listen to it, which seems dodgy.

So I got a call saying I’d won a lightsaber from a contest I actually entered. Then they mentioned I was also entered into some sweepstakes. I foolishly gave them my bank details, like account number and sort code. Realised it was dodgy though and quickly told my bank to block everything, reported it as fraud.

They rang me loads, but I kept putting the phone down. Saying I’d won something and was in their raffle, and they wanted my bank info. Got really annoyed when I told them to send me a letter instead!

Got a call from someone claiming I’d won a prize, then they said I’d automatically be placed into some lottery pool and wanted my bank info to send the money. When I told them I was driving, they got really pushy, even telling me to use a banking app while behind the wheel. Total scam, just annoyed me big time.

Had a rather dodgy phone call asking for my banking information - definitely a scam!

I haven't the foggiest idea who's behind this number that keeps ringing me, and they never bother to leave a voicemail. I just tried returning their call, but it doesn't even ring; it merely shows the call timer ticking away. Honestly, I reckon it's probably some kind of spam call. If you happen to get a call from them, my advice would be to block them without a second thought!

I’m inclined to think it’s a scam. I attempted to ring them back (I’m still on pay-as-you-go, a bit old-fashioned I admit, but it suits me just fine at the moment, especially as I’ve got bundle packs that don’t accommodate pricey calls). All I got was ten seconds of complete silence. I reckon I’ll let them try their luck again tomorrow and have a little amusement with them!

What a load of codswallop! I've encountered this nonsense numerous times, much like many others dealing with dodgy con artists. It often seems to originate from a landline. I recommend tweaking your settings to block these pesky scams from reaching you.

I received a call from this number twice today. When I picked up and greeted them with a 'Hello', there was silence on the other end before they abruptly disconnected. Very peculiar!

I've received calls from this number for a couple of days now, but I haven't picked up. It’s clearly a lottery scam, so they can take a hike! I often get these dodgy calls from various unknown numbers that seem to be clustered around London, yet I’ve got absolutely no ties to the city at all. Just another day fending off the scammers!

Received a call from this number but chose not to pick up. They rang me straight away again, but I let it go to voicemail once more. Popped over to this site and discovered it’s linked to a scam. It’s relentless; if it’s not one dodgy number today, there’ll be another on the morrow and so forth. My advice? If you’re unsure about the caller’s identity, best not to engage. If they’re genuine, they’ll drop you a message instead.

I opted not to pick up the phone, and curiously, they didn’t leave a voicemail behind either. Upon looking into the number, I discovered it was only registered a mere six days ago. Interestingly, when I dug a bit deeper, I found out that someone did answer when they called back and claimed it was supposedly from the National Lottery-a service I’ve never signed up for. It seems we may be dealing with a scam here, folks. Stay vigilant!

I didn't recognise the number, so I chose not to pick up. They left no voicemail, which is rather peculiar. It appears this number was only created a mere week ago and has already been looked up more than 70 times! That definitely raises a few red flags, if you ask me. Seems like it might be a scammer at work here!
