This number gave me a ring, and the voicemail left was pretty scary, talking about legal trouble if I didn’t call them back.

No idea who this is but I went ahead and blocked the number on my phone because it felt dodgy. When I called back, there was this voicemail with an American accent saying something like "your account balance is too low to make this call, please add credit." Sounds like they’re trying to get you to pay to top up your phone - sounds like a scam to me, especially since I’m on a contract plan! Definitely not worth the risk.
